On the 11th, Ko Min-jung, a lawmaker from the Democratic Party, posted on her Facebook, "Senior lawmakers who should hold the center of orthodox conservatism, and even former journalists who value facts as their lifeblood, are willing to do anything to appeal to their supporters," and ,,,pointed out that the People Power Party "has risen from far-right to anti-China ," and Ko criticized, "They seem like people addicted to hate." The People Power Party is pushing the 'three major shopping measures' for Chinese people—medical, election, and real estate—as its party policy. Regarding this, Representative Ko reportedly retorted, "Would the centrist crowd like this?" The People Power Party's push for the 'Three Major Shopping Prevention Acts ' by Chinese nationals is interpreted as an attempt to rally hardline supporters by stirring up anti-China sentiment, especially among far-right YouTubers ahead of next June's local elections, and to rally hardline supporters. Representative Ko's intention was to say, "Within the party, there are concerns that pushing policies based on anti-China sentiment as party policy might actually turn away the centrists." Earlier on the 10th Kim Eun-hye, Senior Deputy Floor Leader for Policy at the People Power Party, stated, "Chinese people who set foot on our land exploit loopholes in the system and engage in the so-called three major shopping categories: medical shopping, election shopping, and real estate shopping. This is reverse discrimination against the public," ,,,especially real estate shopping!! There are too many real estate purchases by Chinese people!! Last month, Democratic Party lawmaker Park Yong-gap of the National Assembly's Land, Infrastructure and Transport Committee analyzed the status of foreign housing ownership submitted by the Korea Real Estate Board, and found that by nationality, there were 59,722 Chinese nationals. The increase was the largest and recorded the highest among all foreign owners by nationality.
