According to data from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, the first domestic apartment transaction in the 10 billion won range was in 2021, when a 268㎡ unit at 'Parc Hannam' in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, was sold for 12 billion won, setting a record for the highest sale price that year. Later, in 2022, a 273㎡ unit in 'PH129' in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, was sold for 14.5 billion won, setting a new record, and in 2023, Park Hannam changed hands for 18 billion won. The era of the 20 billion won range for apartment sale prices began in 2024, At that time, a 273㎡ unit at 'Nine One Hannam' in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, changed hands for 25 billion won. This year, Acro Seoul Forest was sold for 29 billion won, breaking the all-time record once again, and at a price per 3.3㎡ (pyeong), that's about 280 million won. Looking only at the all-time highest apartment prices, the price of a high-priced apartment, which was 12 billion won in 2021, has jumped about 2.4 times in just four years. Meanwhile, as of this day, there have been a total of 31 apartment transactions exceeding 10 billion won (excluding termination transactions) this year. Professor Ko Jun-seok of Yonsei University's Sangnam Management Institute said, "In the past, wealthy individuals preferred buildings, but recently, high-priced apartments priced over 10 billion won have taken their place," adding, "As high-priced apartments become symbols of wealthy individuals, their own leagues are solidifying."
